Why did we choose Tamen?

We recently changed our name to Tamen Accountants after many years of being known under the name of Michael Sohor & Co. 

Since we announced the name change towards the end of last year, one question has been put forward to us many times. That question is why did we choose the name ‘Tamen’? 

The Latin translation of the word ‘tamen’ can be interpreted as when a situation is continued or endured. We felt that this really sums up the way we have run our business over the years, and hopefully for many more years to come. 

Tamen Accountants is a multi-generational family run business that has expanded over the three decades that we have been operating through. As a company, we have seen a huge amount of changes within the industry as well as the world in general, and we have overcome and adapted to suit new technologies, regulations and much more.
